Common questions

Money, Quotes and the $65 Off

Do prices change once you start?

No. The price we quote on site is the price you pay, full stop. Nothing gets tacked on afterwards unless the scope of the job genuinely changes, and we'd always run that past you first.

What does '$65 off your first service' cover?

It's a straight discount for anyone calling us for the first time. There's no fine print attached and no minimum spend to unlock it. Just mention it when you book, and it comes off the price we agree on site.

What does 'from $89' actually include?

It covers a standard blocked-drain callout, with the fixed price locked in before we lift a tool. Most single-fixture jobs land close to this figure. If the job turns out bigger once we've had a look, we'll quote that clearly before touching anything further.

Is the quote really free?

Yes. A licensed plumber comes out, has a look, and confirms the cost before anything starts, with no call-out fee attached. You're free to say no thanks and we'll still shake your hand on the way out.

Common questions

Who's Responsible for What

Do wipes really block drains?

Constantly. Wipes labelled flushable hold their shape long past the point paper would have softened, and they catch on any rough patch inside a pipe. Bundle enough of them together and you've got a blockage that needs clearing properly, not just pushed further down the line.

What standards does drainage work follow?

Drainage work in NSW is carried out to the AS/NZS 3500 plumbing standards, which cover everything from pipe falls to fixture connections. Every job we take on sticks to those standards, big or small, from a simple clear to a full pipe relining.

What is your lifetime labour warranty?

Once we've finished the job, the workmanship stays guaranteed for good, full stop. If something we did ever fails, we come back and put it right at no cost to you. There's no separate form to fill out and no time limit attached.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We hold NSW Plumbing Licence #465156C and carry full insurance, and we're licensed plumbers and gas fitters, not general handymen doing drainage on the side. Ask to see it in person and we're glad to show you.

Common questions

Response Times and Booking

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

Yes. A blockage doesn't check the calendar, so our roster doesn't either. Saturday, Sunday or a public holiday, you get the same crew and the same pricing.

Are you really available 24/7?

Yes, a real person answers the phone, day or night, not a machine reading options back at you. Call at 2am with sewage backing up and someone picks up and gets a plumber moving.

What counts as a drain emergency?

A toilet or shower backing up, a gully bubbling over outside, or several fixtures refusing to drain together all point to something urgent. Any of those gets same-day attention, not a wait-and-see approach. A single tap draining slowly can usually hold until a scheduled visit instead.

How do I book?

Call (02) 9023 2087 and describe what's going on. We'll fit you into the schedule, usually within the day. Not keen to call right away? Drop us a line through the contact page instead and we'll be in touch.

Common questions

Local to Hornsby

Can you handle new builds and renovations here?

Yes. Whether it's a fresh build near the station or an older place mid-renovation, we connect and test drainage to the same standard either way. Renovations often turn up old plumbing nobody knew was there, so we check before we sign off.

Why do Hornsby's older homes get blocked drains?

A lot of the older streets were built through the Federation era, when earthenware pipes were standard and roots find their way in over time. Add the autumn leaf and root activity that hits the bushland streets each year, and blocked drains become a seasonal pattern as much as an age one.

How local are you, really?

Ask us about the run down toward Bridge Road or the new park built on the old quarry site and we can tell you what we've seen there. We're not reciting a suburb list from a database. It's genuinely the patch we work in, week to week.

Do you handle strata and units?

Yes, body corporates and unit owners call us just as often as houses on the street. Getting access sorted is usually the only real difference. We'll liaise directly with a strata manager if that's easier for everyone involved.
